Cao Dinh Huy, chairman of the People’s Committee of Tuy Hoa City in Phu Yen, announced on Saturday that the city was awarded the 2023 Asian Townscape Award at a ceremony in Busan, South Korea on Friday. Out of the nine projects from five different countries, including Japan, China, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, Nghinh Phong Tower Square is the only representative from Southeast Asia to receive the award, according to the Tuy Hoa administration. The tower square is located in the heart of the coastal park in Tuy Hoa, and it was inspired by the local tourist site Ganh Da Dia, also known as the Reef of Plates, as well as the legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the ancestors of the current Vietnamese people. In its 66 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Education Publishing House has compiled and published numerous books to improve knowledge and appreciation for the Vietnamese language, literature, and culture.
