City dwellers and tourists will have the opportunity to participate in the festival at various locations, including the Saigon Cruise Port, the Bach Dang Wharf Park, the Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe Canal area, the Binh Dong Wharf, and the Suoi Tien Cultural Tourist Area. During a press conference on the festival held on July 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the City Department of Tourism, announced that a wide range of activities will be held along the Saigon River to attract tourists through art performances and promotional programs. These efforts aim to stimulate consumer demand during the peak summer season. Vietnam is set to participate in the upcoming ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2023 in Kuching, Malaysia from August 2 to August 4. The country will be showcasing two movies to compete for prestigious titles at the event. German-Vietnamese designer Tra My Nguyen’s artwork is inspired by the culture of Vietnamese women riding motorbikes. Her work has gained significant attention at the exhibition, marking her first time showcasing her art. Tra My Nguyen, born in Hanoi in 1992 and raised in Germany, found inspiration in the sun protective clothing worn by Vietnamese women on motorbikes. The BIENALSUR biennial exhibition of contemporary art was first launched in 2015 and continues to be a platform for art and culture. The 2023 edition, taking place from July 8 to December 22, will feature artwork exhibited in over 70 cities across 27 countries and territories on five continents.
