Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Director of the city’s information and culture center, confirmed that the upcoming art performance program in Hoi An, Vietnam will showcase tourism promotion, local crafts, and traditional arts. The city’s art troupe will be playing “bài chòi,” a unique combination of a card game and theater performance. The troupe will also feature folk dances and musical performances. It can be found in various forms of folklore, fairy tales, prayers to gods, customs and traditions, riddles, storytelling, and singing genres such as “kôt” and “eirei”.
