Vietnam Set to See Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Throughout the Nation (August 29)

From the evening and night of August 29-30, the area from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai will experience showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain reaching 20-40mm. Some areas may even receive over 70mm of rainfall.

On the afternoon and evening of August 28-29, the Central Highlands and the South will also have showers and scattered thunderstorms, resulting in moderate to heavy rainfall of 15-30mm. Some areas could receive over 60mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has warned of the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds during thunderstorms. These heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas and increase the risk of floods and landslides in mountainous regions.

In the Northwest, there will be cloudy and rainy conditions in some places, with sunny weather in the afternoon. The northeast wind will be at level 2-3. The minimum temperature will range from 23-26 degrees, with some areas dropping below 22 degrees. The maximum temperature will range from 31-34 degrees.

In the Northeast, there will be cloudy and rainy conditions in some places, with sunny weather in the afternoon. The northeast wind will be at level 2-3. The minimum temperature will range from 24-27 degrees, with some areas dropping below 24 degrees. The maximum temperature will range from 30-33 degrees, with some areas exceeding 33 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue will experience cloudy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and night, resulting in moderate to heavy rainfall. The northwestern wind will be at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The minimum temperature will range from 24-27 degrees. The maximum temperature will range from 31-34 degrees, with some areas exceeding 34 degrees.

The maximum temperature will range from 31-34 degrees, with some areas exceeding 34 degrees.

Weather Forecast for Big Cities

In Hanoi, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts cloudy weather with moderate rain and locally scattered thunderstorms on August 29. The temperature will range from 31-33 degrees, which is 2 degrees higher than the previous day.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the weather will be cloudy and sunny on August 29, with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The temperature will range from 30-32 degrees, which is 2-3 degrees lower than the previous day.

In Da Nang, the intense heat will subside on August 29, with moderate rain in the evening and night, and heavy rain in some places. The temperature will range from 31-32 degrees, which is 3-4 degrees lower than the previous day.
