Vietnam-South Korea Food and Culture Festival to Take Place in Hanoi

The Vietnam-South Korea Food and Culture Festival 2023 will take place on Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street, located in front of Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi. The event is scheduled to occur on August 26-27.

The event will comprise of various exhilarating activities including the “Cultural Colors of Vietnam-Korea” talent contest, a magnificent flower flashmob led by Jisoo from BlackPink and a captivating performance to the song “See Tinh” by renowned singer Hoang Thuy Linh. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to witness a splendid Vietnam-South Korea children’s fashion show and indulge in a delectable Vietnamese-Korean culinary demonstration.
 Seokguram Grotto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be featured at the festival.

The festival is dedicated to celebrating the rich and vibrant cultures and enchanting destinations of South Korea, Vietnam, and Hanoi. Its goal is to not only showcase the uniqueness of these nations, but also foster increased cooperation in areas such as culture, economy, education, and tourism.

Professors and students from renowned Korean universities, including Andong National University, Kyungwoon University, Kyungil University, Daegu University, Daegu Hanny University, Yeungnam University in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province (Gyeongbuk), and Jeju Tourism University from Jeju Island, will actively partake in the program.

There will be the participation of 14 notable South Korean companies in various sectors including food, functional food, cosmetics, and content production.

Gyeongbuk, situated in the eastern region of Korea, is the largest province in South Korea. It spans an expansive area of 19,029 square kilometers and features a scenic coastline stretching 335 kilometers. Renowned for its abundant natural beauty, Gyeongbuk is home to countless famous landmarks and unique local specialties.

This destination showcases a myriad of well-preserved traditional cultural elements that have defined Korea’s heritage, including ancient villages, renowned landmarks, and vibrant traditional cultural festivals.

Gyeongbuk offers a remarkable experience for visitors, with its multitude of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These include the renowned National Buddhist Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Bulguksa Temple, and the awe-inspiring Gyeongju Relics. Unique plants on display at Hanoi Ornamental Creatures Festival 2022

The event features a wider range of unique ornamental trees and bonsai worth several hundreds to billions of VND. This piece named “Hoang Long Vu De” is valued at VND3 billion, equivalent to US$126,370. Another piece, named “Vu Hoi Long Hoa”, is offered at a price in the tens of billions of VND. The age-old tree often has a massive, mossy trunk. A gardener brings his ornamental tree to the festival, offering it at VND3.5 billion, equal to US$147,431. Vietnam-Japan Diplomacy Marked with Magnificent LED Light Show Celebrating 50 Years

The light display at Bien Dong Park in Da Nang, Vietnam, features three scenes inspired by the iconic flowers of both Vietnam and Japan – lotus and sakura (cherry blossom), respectively.
