Third pedestrian street zone opens in Hue

Many artists partake in a music gala which takes place immediately after the opening ceremony. A local girl dons a traditional Laotian costume to join in a street carnival at the event. The zone spans along Hai Ba Trung street and opens to tourists every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. The site marks the third pedestrian zone in Hue after August 23 and Le Huan streets around the iconic Imperial Citadel and the backpacker precinct at the intersection of Vo Thi Sau, Chu Van An, and Pham Ngu Lao streets. Flying saucer-shaped clouds float above another mountain in southern Vietnam

The formation, which is identified as lenticular clouds, floated over Chua Chan Mountain on Friday morning. The clouds appeared at around 6:00 am, were most obvious at 7:00 am, and lasted until 8:00 am, according to Nguyen Duc Tan, a local living at the foot of the mountain.
