Hanoi crowned Best Golf City Destination 2023

Hanoi has been awarded the prestigious title of World’s Best Golf City Destination 2023, surpassing famous cities like Paris and New York in the field of golf tourism. This achievement was announced at the 10th World Golf Awards ceremony held on October 23 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

An online voting was conducted on the worldgolfawards.com website to select the best golf destination, and Hanoi received positive feedback from golf experts, media organizations, golf tour companies, golf course owners, hotels, and golf associations from various countries worldwide.

A representative from the Hanoi Tourism Department expressed that this award is a great source of pride for Hanoi, showcasing the city’s continuous efforts in the development of the tourism industry.

Situated in the northern part of Vietnam, Hanoi benefits from its ideal geographical location for golf tourism. The city’s stunning landscapes and diverse cuisine make it an attractive destination for golfers from South Korea, Japan, America, Europe, and beyond.

Hanoi possesses all the essential elements for developing a thriving golf tourism industry, including top-notch golf courses such as Long Bien, Van Tri Golf Club, Kings Island Golf, Minh Tri, Legend Hill, and approximately 10 training golf courses. The city also boasts a range of professional and diverse supporting amenities and accommodations, notably 4-5 star hotels like JW Marriott, Sheraton, and Sofitel Legend Metropole.

According to data from the Vietnam Tourism Association, Vietnam welcomed 1.8 million international tourists in the first two months of 2023, out of which 800,000 were golf tourists. Recognized as the best golf destination in the world and Asia in 2019, 2021, and 2022 by the World Golf Award, Vietnam continues to attract golf enthusiasts. Moreover, the Vietnam Golf Tourism Association was honored as the best golf tourism association in 2022.
