Preparatory visit made to isolated island districts before Tet



The purpose of the visit is to encourage them to remain strong in protecting the country’s sea and island sovereignty.


In Ly Son district, the officers and reporters toured administrative units and brought gifts to the staff working at the Ly Son Radar Station.


The delegation deliver Tet gifts to soldiers and local people in Con Co island district of Quang Tri province.


For their participation, military units have planned duty timetables to ensure their staff can enjoy a cozy Tet, which is the country’s largest festival of the year.

The sacred duty of border guards during the Tet holiday

Part of their work is checking the status border landmarks planted on the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. The guards say this is a sacred task they undertake every day. Long An borders SvayRieng and PrayVeng provinces of Cambodia, with a total length of 133km, of which two thirds lie on land. Long An has Binh Hiep international border gate, My Quy Tay national border gate, three auxiliary border gates, along with a number of trails and open crossings with Cambodia. The Long An Border Guard Command dispatches teams patrolling along the border every day. Hanoi: Documentaries on wildlife and nature conservation available for public

The two documentary films entitled “Binh Yen, Come Home!” and “Road to Xuan Lien” about sustainable development in Vietnam was screened at 7:00 PM on September 21 at Library and Halle, Goethe Institut, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi and via Zoom at https://goethe-institut.zoom.us/j/88288014876 .
